How to recognize good shoes?

Meet the first 3 out of six ways to recognize high-quality footwear. The Polish footwear manufacturer and exporter Conhpol advises.

Give me the right shoes and I will conquer the world, Marilyn Monroe used to say. This claim can be endorsed not only by many women, but also by probably all men who have learned about the comfort and charm of high-quality shoes. Good shoes are essential, because they decorate any outfit better than jewelry, give character and are a discreet signal that we value elegance, quality and style above glitter.

You just need to know what to look for! Meet the first 3 out of six ways to recognize high-quality footwear.

First of all: knowledge and… lots of practice.

Decent shoes are not cheap, but recognizing them "by eye" can be difficult for a layman (even who loves shoes with deep love), especially among the prevailing glitz and flood of products of poor quality. The price is not always a good indicator, because the cost of shoes, apart from quality, is increased by many factors - often including the brand. So the first step is to get rid of stereotypes (popular brand = good quality) and take the time to carefully inspect and "feel" the shoe. Why? Because what is most important about a shoe is usually not visible at first glance.

Second: the lining.

Do you pay attention to the lining? Among other things, it influences how your foot feels in a shoe. The best linings are made of cowhide or goat leather, which is thicker and more durable than the commonly used pigskin. Experienced shoe enthusiasts can identify the type of leather used for the lining, but don't worry - you'll also find a good place to buy shoes from the seller who can answer all your questions. And there should be a lot of them!

Third: trade

Most of the elements that make a shoe good are hidden. It is true that the aesthetics of the slim line of a decent shoe show that it was made according to the best standards of craftsmanship, using time-consuming methods, but the shoe is supposed to prove itself in battle! If it is high-quality, it will have a durable toe cap that protects the foot and properly contoured heel inserts that are durable and resistant to deformation (i.e. heel kink). It is also important what happens at the production stage, e.g. technological development of the gluing process, thanks to which the shoe is nice, durable and resistant.

Interesting, isn't it? This is just the beginning! About the next three methods of recognizing really valuable footwear - in just a week.
