Shoes on the go from the Polish footwear manufacturer Conhpol

Although the first quarter of the year is not the holiday season, it happens that a gentleman has to go somewhere. Whether it's a business trip, a weekend getaway or a family trip for entertainment and relaxation - a spare pair of shoes will always come in handy. How to take care of shoes while traveling so that you do not have to add their value to the cost when you return?

Shoes for travel follow the same rules as at home.

This means that we take a change of footwear for each trip over a day. Unfortunately, leather shoes do not know that their owner is leaving the house and as always, they need to rest - preferably for the period in which they were worn. Winter is capricious, sometimes wet, sometimes snowy, and getting wet is murder for leather shoes, not to mention comfort in wearing. Some shoes on your feet, the other a change - this is the necessary minimum of a traveling man.

Be careful with the packaging!

Leather shoes are best taken as they are stored - on proper shelves, in a stiff box. This prevents scratching the skin and deforming the upper. With one additional pair and a car trip, this is not a big problem, but what if we want to pack in one handy bag? If possible, let's take shoes with correct ones packed in a cotton bag. The boards, however, are quite heavy, so in a situation where the gate is close, it is best to fill the shoes tightly with elements of clothing (socks, rolled-up t-shirts, etc.) so that they do not deform and place them in a suitcase or bag, prepared in this way. We should also remember not to throw the shoes loose on the bottom, and then "stuff" with things - there is a risk that when closing the suitcases too forcefully, they will become deformed, crushed or scratched with a sharp element of clothing. Leather shoes are not made of porcelain, but if you show them a little care during packing, you will not get a nasty surprise on the spot.

Care without changes.

Unfortunately, we are not able to predict the weather and we do not know what will happen to our shoes during the journey. If we take cosmetics for ourselves when we leave home, why not do the same for our shoes? Don't worry, you don't have to take a whole bag of toothpastes, cleaners and brushes! All you need is: a small cloth to remove dirt, a paste of the appropriate color, a brush to spread it and possibly a polisher. In the case of suede, you will need a special cleaning brush and impregnation, although you can also impregnate the shoes before leaving. In the appropriate stores you can get miniatures of the appropriate items, but also in the full-size version they will fit into even a very stuffed suitcase.

It takes really little to properly care for your shoes. That's all you need to remember. Bon voyage!
